The Founder's Story
The barrier was never biological. It was always systemic. And a systemic problem demands a systemic solution.
Lisa Rorani founded Zazi Health in the wake of a profound personal loss, the deaths of two aunts to late-diagnosed cervical cancer. Both deaths were entirely preventable. That grief did not diminish with time. It deepened into conviction.
As a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in product and engineering, and with deep roots in South Africa's underserved communities, Lisa understood that what stood between women and a Pap smear was not biology it was queues, referrals, costs, distance, and stigma. Structural barriers, every one of them.
Zazi Health is her answer, built not from market research alone, but from lived experience and an unwavering refusal to accept that preventable deaths are inevitable.
